Indecare Limited, a small domiciliary care service in London, received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first CQC inspection on 4 July 2023. The service demonstrated safe, person-centred care with robust risk management, strong staff induction practices, and an open, well-led culture that had evidenced learning from a prior serious incident.
Strengths
· Person-centred risk assessments written in the first person, covering a range of safety and well-being needs, reviewed in a timely manner.
· Robust recruitment procedures including DBS checks, references, full employment history and identity checks prior to starting work.
· Staff completed Care Certificate induction including safeguarding, infection control, equality and diversity, and MCA training.
· Registered manager demonstrated clear vision, open culture, and good understanding of duty of candour and regulatory requirements.
· Service engaged people and relatives in care planning and regularly sought feedback; people and relatives expressed high satisfaction.
