Date of assessment 15 February 2026. Betamindes Limited is a domiciliary care service registered to provide personal care to people living in their own homes. At the time of the assessment, they were providing personal care to 50 people. This assessment was carried out because the service’s previous rating is now of an age that requires a new assessment to ensure people continue to receive safe, effective and well‑led care in line with current regulatory standards. The service has been rated good. People described the care as reliable and staff consistently said people were well cared for and safe. Care plans and electronic care records contained detailed information about people’s routines, preferences and care needs. Staff spoke confidently about supporting people with more complex health conditions, such as dementia, stoma care, oxygen therapy and end‑of‑life support, and this matched the guidance set out in people’s care plans. We saw examples where external professionals had been involved at appropriate times. Families told us staff kept them informed when concerns were identified and communication from the provider was good. The provider had systems in place to monitor the quality and safety of care. Audits and risk assessments identified where improvements were needed, and we saw evidence action had been taken, including updating care plans, reviewing environmental hazards and supporting staff following concerns. Staff explained they felt comfortable raising issues, and managers were described as approachable and responsive. Staff told us while people’s care remained safe, there had been occasions when rotas were changed without consultation or breaks had not been planned during long shifts. These issues affected morale at times, although staff said managers listened to them, addressed specific concerns, and had recently implemented a pay increase to help staff feel valued. Safeguarding procedures were understood and followed, and care plans showed appropriate use of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA). People told us they felt safe with staff, and staff described knowing how to escalate concerns.
