Minor shortfalls in medicine record-keeping and formalisation of staff supervision were identified but promptly addressed by the responsive registered manager.

Carers and Companions Limited was rated Good across all five key questions following an announced inspection in November 2015, reflecting a well-established, reliable homecare service with highly experienced staff and strong person-centred practices. Minor recording gaps on MAR charts and some outdated risk assessments were identified but promptly addressed with no impact on people's safety.

· Low staff turnover with 16 out of 22 staff having worked at the provider for over 7 years, enabling strong relationships and in-depth knowledge of individual needs.
· Highly interactive and tailored training programme developed in-house by a degree-qualified trainer, praised by staff for its engaging and practical content.
· No missed or late calls reported by people using the service, with rotas described as realistic and appropriately planned.
· Strong links with external health professionals, with one stating 'They are one of the better agencies, one I would recommend.'
· Three-tiered supervision model encompassing office-based, bespoke training, and practice-based supervision supporting staff development.
