Nightingales Homecare received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first CQC inspection in December 2022. The service demonstrated safe, person-centred care with strong leadership, effective governance, and consistently positive feedback from people and their relatives.
Strengths
· People received a reliable service with good staff timekeeping and proactive communication when visits were delayed
· Consistent staff allocation fostered positive relationships and continuity of care for people using the service
· Medicines were managed safely using an app that prevented staff logging out until all tasks were completed, enabling remote oversight
· Staff received thorough inductions including shadowing, mandatory training, and specialist training (e.g. dysphagia, PEG feeding)
· Monthly supervisions and team meetings supported staff development and ensured consistent, up-to-date care delivery
