Date of assessment 15 January 2025 to 5 March 2026. The service is a supported living service providing care for people who live in supported living accommodation. The assessment was carried out in responseto concerns relating to risk management, oversight of governance and the service had not been inspected. We identified 2 breaches of the legal regulations in relation to fit and proper persons employed and good governance. There were systems in place to safeguard people from abuse.Lessons were learnt to continually identify and embed good practice. The provider worked with people and healthcare partners to establish and maintain safe systems of care. The provider assessed and managed the risk of infection. The provider worked with professionals and relatives. People were treated with kindness. The provider cared about and promoted the wellbeing of their staff. People were supported to see the GP. However, staff were not recruited safely. Care records and risk assessments were not always up-to date. The provider did not always make sure medicines were administered safely. The principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 were not followed. There was a lack of governance oversight which meant the service did not have effective systems in place to monitor and improve the quality of the service. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
