   SummerCare Office was rated Good overall following a December 2023 inspection, with only Safe and Well-led key questions assessed. The service demonstrated strong person-centred care, safe medication management, robust safeguarding practices and effective leadership supporting people with learning disabilities and autism in supported living settings.

   Strengths

   • · People were protected from abuse; safeguarding concerns were raised appropriately with the local authority and whistle-blowing policies were in place.
   • · Safe recruitment practices included interviews, values-based feedback, full work histories, references and DBS checks before staff commenced work.
   • · Medicines were administered safely by trained, competency-checked staff with regular audits and health professional reviews.
   • · Person-centred care plans with individual key workers supported people to achieve their goals and maintain independence.
   • · Strong staff training programme including epilepsy care, Oliver McGowan Learning Disability and Autism training, and positive behaviour support.
