SeeAbility Redhill Support Service received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first inspection following re-registration in January 2022. The service demonstrated strong person-centred care, safe medicines management, effective safeguarding practices and an open, inclusive culture that promoted independence and continuous improvement for the 20 autistic and learning-disabled people it supported.
Strengths
· People and relatives consistently reported feeling safe, with staff demonstrating strong safeguarding knowledge and vigilance.
· Medicines were stored, administered and audited safely; staff were trained and competency-checked, and STOMP principles were actively applied.
· Staffing levels were appropriate, rotas were carefully organised around individual needs, and recruitment checks were completed safely.
· Staff received specialist training (e.g. sight guiding, PBS, Care Certificate) enabling high-quality, person-centred support.
· People were actively involved in care planning, goal-setting and decision-making, with communication passports and accessible formats in place.
