Date of assessment: 14 and 16 July 2025. We looked at quality statements in all domains. This service provides care and support to people living in 'supported living' settings, so they can live as independently as possible. The service supports older people, autistic people and people with a learning disability. People's care and housing are provided under separate contractual agreements. CQC does not regulate premises used for supported living; this inspection looked at people's personal care and support. CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with the regulated activity 'personal care'; help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also take into account any wider social care provided. The service applied the principles and values of Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture and other best practice guidance. These ensure that people who use the service can live as full a life as possible and achieve the best possible outcomes that include control, choice and independence. People's support focused on them having as many opportunities as possible for them to gain new skills and become more independent. We inspected this service due to the length of time since our last inspection. The provider ensured the culture was focussed on people being able to explore their own interests as independently as possible. There were a range of positive outcomes for people in terms of increased independence and improved quality of life. Leaders and staff worked well together as well as with external partners. They were supportive and willing to change and be flexible where it would help meet people’s needs. Partnership engagement was a core strength of the service, with positive links established enabling more sporting and recreational options for people. Senior leaders were responsive to feedback. Staff had supported each other professionally and emotionally through difficult times and stepped up well to increased responsibility. There was an open, inclusive approach and an extremely supportive culture. Staff were confident and competent in their roles, well supported through training and supervision, and had built mutually respectful relationships with people who used the service. The atmosphere was vibrant, with people enjoying their own independence. They enjoyed opportunities to try new things, meet new people and maintain relationships. Staffing levels were safe with clear on call arrangements. People and relatives, we spoke with had no concerns regarding staffing, with positive comments regarding a continuity of care from familiar staff. Staff worked well with other health and social care partners to reduce the risks people faced and improve their quality of life.
