Kind Healthcare is a home care service providing support to older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with mental health conditions. At the time of the assessment, there were 2 people being supported by Kind Healthcare, both who were receiving the regulated activity of personal care. This was a comprehensive assessment as this service had not been inspected before. Staff gave positive feedback on the service and leadership support. Care plans were person-centred and contained information important to people who used the service. Mental capacity assessments had not been completed by the provider, however there was evidence of discussion with the relevant people, and how best to support care. This was demonstrated in care plans and information provided by staff. The provider also took action and completed mental capacity assessments following our feedback. Systems and processes were in place to carry out audits and implement lessons learnt where needed. Meeting minutes were in place which showed that the lessons learnt and actions taken had been shared with staff to ensure that the changes were implemented.
