The service demonstrated strong person-centred values, effective safeguarding practices, and a well-embedded culture of independence promotion for people with mental health needs.

· Independence was actively promoted through cooking, finances, employment and community activities
· Regular audits, staff supervisions, appraisals and team meetings ensured quality oversight
Kelly House, operated by Supported Independence Limited, received an Outstanding overall rating at its January 2019 inspection, with Responsive and Well-led rated Outstanding and Safe, Effective, and Caring rated Good. The service demonstrated exceptional person-centred care, deep community integration, and inspirational leadership, with no failure themes identified.

· Person-centred values deeply embedded in practice, with staff going above and beyond, including organising a funeral and wake for a person with no family.
· Exceptional community integration, including carol concerts, a service user festival, and partnership with the Salvation Army and local church.
· Outstanding responsiveness, including organising a memorial service for a person unable to attend a loved one's funeral.
· Highly motivated, well-supported staff team with opportunities for career development and ideas actively encouraged.
· Flexible care hours tailored to individual needs, with respite accommodation for people newly released from prison.
