Date of assessment: 11 February to 25 February 2026. Anchor Trust (The Laureates) provides a personal care service to people living at The Laureates retirement property. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where personal care is provided, we also consider any wider social care provided. The domiciliary care office was located in the same building as the apartments. The service had a registered manager in place. At the time of our assessment, 17 people were receiving regulated activities and support. The assessment was triggered due to the age of the previous rating. People were protected from avoidable harm and experienced continuity of safe and well organised care. Staff followed clear processes for managing incidents, learning from events and updating practice, supported by regular communication such as meetings and reflective practice sessions. Care delivery was underpinned by thorough assessment and review, including preadmission assessments, monthly monitoring, and involvement of external professionals to support joined- up- care planning and safe transitions between services. Staff were safely recruited, trained, and supported through supervision, team meetings and an open culture that promoted feedback and improvement. Governance arrangements were robust, with regular audits feeding into an overarching action plan and good management oversight. The service demonstrated strong partnership working, effective communication with professionals and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Leaders were described as approachable, supportive and aligned with the organisation's values, contributing to a positive and inclusive culture within the service.
