JC99 Ltd (Visiting Angels, Pangbourne) received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first CQC inspection in April 2023. The service demonstrated person-centred care, robust governance, strong staff recruitment and training practices, and positive outcomes for the six people receiving personal care at the time of inspection.

Infection control

: “Not all staff's infection prevention and control training were up to date. However, when this was raised with the registered manager, they took immediate action to rectify.”

Strengths

· People and relatives reported feeling safe and expressed unanimously positive feedback about staff and the service.
· Comprehensive, person-centred care plans and risk assessments developed prior to commencement of care, regularly reviewed.
· Safe and effective recruitment practices including up-to-date DBS checks for all staff.
· Staff received induction training including the Care Certificate, annual appraisals, and quarterly supervisions with observed practice.
· Registered manager demonstrated strong oversight, proactive engagement with health and social care professionals, and positive duty of candour awareness.
