Strengths
· People felt very safe with staff; no missed calls reported and safe recruitment practices in place including criminal records checks.
· Staff demonstrated good knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and the registered manager understood referral duties to the local authority.
· Medicine was safely supplied and a medicine audit system was in place; staff were trained to administer medicines.
· People and relatives said staff were very friendly and caring, respected dignity and privacy, and encouraged independence.
· Mental capacity assessments had been completed and staff understood MCA principles, always seeking consent before providing care.
