Creative Support – Chorley Service was rated Good overall following a November 2022 inspection of the Safe and Well-Led key questions, with the remaining three key questions carried forward as Good from the 2017 inspection. The service demonstrated strong safeguarding practices, person-centred care, effective governance, and a positive, empowering culture led by an accessible and knowledgeable registered manager.
Strengths
· Staff had robust safeguarding knowledge and the provider worked well with other agencies to keep people safe.
· Medicines were managed safely with regular audits and competency assessments for all staff.
· Positive risk-taking was promoted, enabling people to develop independence and make their own choices.
· Effective infection prevention and control measures were in place, including ongoing COVID-19 staff testing.
· Incidents were reviewed by management with lessons learned and actions taken to minimise reoccurrence.
