Purple Skilled Healthcare - Main Office is a domiciliary care agency registered to provide personal care to people living in their own homes. The service supported one person who received the regulated activity of personal care. CQC only inspect the service received by people provided with 'personal care'; help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do we also take into account any wider social care provided. Assessment activity started 17 October 2024 and ended on 05 December 2024. We assessed all the quality statements from the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. The overall rating for the service is requires improvement. This service was registered with us on 26 July 2022, and this is their first assessment. This assessment was prompted in part by concerns about the provider’s current staffing arrangements of this service. There was a registered manager in post at the time of this assessment. During this assessment, we found three breaches of regulation in relation to safe care and treatment, fit and proper persons employed and governance. We have asked the registered manager for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment. Improvements were required in relation to risk assessments, call monitoring, recruitment and record keeping. However, people spoke positively about the service they received. Appropriate infection control practices were in place. There was a process in place to respond to safeguarding and accident and incidents. Best practice was relayed to staff to improve the quality of service being provided. Staff felt supported by the registered manager. A complaints procedure was in place. During this assessment, we spoke with one person who received care and support, a staff member and the registered manager.
