Date of Assessment:13 and 23 June 2025. Domiciliary Care Agency Surrey is a supported living service providing care and support to people with learning disabilities and autistic people. The service provides care and support to people living in 26 'supported living' settings, so that they can live as independently as possible. People's care and housing are provided under separate contractual agreements. CQC does not regulate premises used for supported living; this inspection looked at aspects of people's personal care and support. At the time of our inspection 67 people were living in the services and receiving a regulated activity. The last rating for this service was good (published 07 July 2023). At the time of our last inspection the service was supporting 32 people. Because the service had doubled in size, we undertook this focused inspection to review all 14 quality statements related to the 2 key questions, Is the service safe and well-led? For those key questions not inspected, we used the ratings awarded at their last inspection to calculate the overall rating. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. People received the right support . The provider assessed people’s needs, and their care plans reflected their preferences. Staff were recruited using clear and safe processes to ensure they were suitable to provide care and support. When in post staff received on-going training to meet people’s needs. People received their medicines safely and they were stored appropriately. People’s risks were assessed to reduce the possibility of experiencing avoidable harm and staff followed good hygiene practices to prevent the risk and spread of infection. People received the right care. People gave their consent to the care and support staff provided. People were protected from abuse and improper treatment and staff received safeguarding training. Staff made referrals to healthcare professionals to ensure people’s needs were assessed and treatment received. The service promoted the right culture. Staff supported people to develop their daily living skills to promote their independence. People engaged in a wide range of activities and the involvement of families was welcomed. People’s flats were personalised, and people had a voice in the organisation of the services they received.
