Also known as: Step Up Supported Living Limited
This assessment took place between 10 December 2025 and 22 January 2026. Step Up -Domiciliary Care is a homecare service providing the regulated activities of personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with 'personal care’; such as help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. This service had not been inspected since their registration; therefore, we assessed all quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. The service was led by compassionate and proactive leaders. There was a positive learning culture, and managers sought feedback from people and staff to drive improvement. People were confident the provider listened and acted on their concerns. Staff provided flexible care in line with people’s needs. People were consulted and given choice on how they wished to be supported by staff. People were protected and kept safe from abuse. Staff were aware of the importance to raise any safety concerns and felt they would be dealt with properly. Staff were recruited safely and trained to carry out their role. Staff understood and managed risks related to people’s care, health and well-being. Staff had access to people’s care plans and risk assessments to assist them in understanding people’s care and support needs. The registered manager and nominated individual worked closely together to monitor and develop the service. They demonstrated effective oversight of the service and consistently monitored people’s needs. However, further development of the provider’s governance systems would be required to support the registered manager in monitoring the service if the service expands.
