Date of assessment: 30 April to 19 May 2025. We gathered information from people who used the service, relatives, the registered manager, quality assurance lead, staff and from health and social care professionals involved with the service. We looked at all 34 quality statements. Yorkshire and Humber Healthcare Alliance (West) is a domiciliary care service registered to provide personal care to individuals living in their own homes. They primarily offer services to older people. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. Personal care is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do provide personal care, we also consider any wider social care provided during our assessment. At this assessment we found people were cared for patiently and with a good sense of their individualities and preferences by hard-working staff. People were treated with dignity and diligence. There were no major delays in the delivery of care, with staff always arriving at the agreed time and staying for the duration of the call. Communication from the office was positive in terms of ensuring people were aware of any changes to planned staffing and responding to any queries or feedback. The registered manager demonstrated a sound understanding of the service, of people’s needs, and how they would continue to meet those needs. They were responsive to feedback and accountable for all aspects of the service. Staff were well supported with a clear induction programme and ongoing competence and supervision support. Governance and scrutiny arrangements were in place, ensuring day-to-day care provision was smooth and reliable. Where changes could be made, the provider was keen to continually improve the service.
