First Choice Carers Ltd is a domiciliary care agency. It provides personal care to people living in their own homes. The service is for younger and older adults. At the time of our assessment, 3 people were using the service. The assessment took place on 4 September 2025. This was the first assessment of this service since they were registered with CQC on 1 February 2023. The rating following this assessment is good. The provider had systems to assess and plan for risks to help keep people safe. People were able to manage their own medicines or were supported by relatives. However, staff helped make sure this was done safely. There were enough staff to keep people safe and meet their needs. The provider had robust recruitment processes and this helped to ensure staff were suitable to deliver care. Staff undertook a range of training to help them understand how to provide appropriate care. They worked with other professionals to monitor people’s needs and request additional support when people needed this. Staff helped people to stay healthy and monitored their health and wellbeing. People consented to care. They were able to make decisions about their care. People were supported by staff who understood their individual needs, including cultural needs. Managers created personalised care plans which staff followed. People were asked to set their own objectives and make choices about how they wanted to be cared for. The provider ensured people had information about the service. This was provided in formats they understood. People and their relatives were asked for their views and these were respected. People were able to make complaints if they were unhappy with something. There were effective systems to monitor and improve the quality of the service. These included regular checks by managers and learning when things went wrong.
