Date of Assessment:The assessment took place 12 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. Respect 4Care is a care at home service providing personal care to people living in their own homes, including individuals with complex needs such as living with dementia and Parkinson’s disease.This was the first inspection for the service. People experienced care that was safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.Feedback from people and relatives was overwhelmingly positive. They described staff as kind, respectful, and attentive, and said they felt safe and supported. Care was highly personalised, with detailed profiles capturing life history, preferences, and goals. People and families were actively involved in care planning and reviews, and communication was highlighted as a strength, with managers maintaining regular contact and using tools such as WhatsApp for timely updates. The service demonstrated a strong safety culture. Staff were trained in safeguarding, infection control, and medicines management, and followed clear procedures. Risk assessments were comprehensive and regularly reviewed. Medicines were managed safely, and audits were completed monthly. Staff promoted independence and choice, adapting care to meet individual needs and respecting cultural and religious preferences. Leadership and governance were effective. The management team fostered an open, inclusive culture, supported staff through regular supervision and training, and maintained robust systems for monitoring quality and driving improvement. Continuous improvement plans, monthly audits, and quality governance meetings ensured compliance and sustainability. Staff felt valued and confident to raise concerns, and people and relatives confirmed issues were addressed promptly. Respect 4Care provided reliable, compassionate, and person-centred care. People felt respected and involved, and staff were well-trained and supported. Governance systems assured high-quality care and promoted a culture of learning and improvement.
