Fitzpatrick Total Home Care Limited retained an overall Good rating following a focused inspection of Safe and Well-Led, with Safe remaining Good but Well-Led declining to Requires Improvement due to insufficient governance documentation, missed CQC notifications, and inconsistent staff support. People using the service reported positive experiences with reliable, person-centred care, though improvements to quality monitoring processes and regulatory compliance are needed.
Concerns (5)
moderateGovernance: “it was not always clear what actions were taken where issues were identified. Where audits found people's care visits were shorter than the agreed times, the provider was not always able to evidence how they had investigated this”
moderateRecord keeping: “the registered manager had not submitted all relevant notifications to CQC in line with their regulatory responsibility”
moderateSupervision / appraisal: “We received mixed feedback from staff about how valued they felt... other staff told us, "No, I don't feel supported" and "It's gone downhill, I don't feel supported now."”
minorStaff training: “checks were not always fully documented. For example, we found staff did not always have a full employment history listed.”
minorCare planning: “people's risk assessments had not always been updated to incorporate any recommendations.”
