Date of assessment: 13 January 2026 to 27 January 2026. Zi Mat Ltd is a domiciliary care agency which provides personal care to people in their own homes, including people living with dementia, and people with physical disabilities. At the time of our inspection, 17 people were receiving support with personal care. Care planning documentation did not always contain up to date relevant information. People’s documentation was not always updated following changes to their needs and support. Risk assessments did not always contain accurate information, and risk mitigations were not always relevant to the person. Staff we spoke with understood people and their needs well. There were not always enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff available to support people. People using the service lived in different geographical locations, staff were not always available in all locations to support people in the event of staff absence. Not all staff were signed off as being competent to support people with medicines. The service carried out governance checks. However, there was limited oversight and monitoring of actions to improve the service. Checks carried out had not identified the concerns we found during inspection. Staff received safeguarding training and understood their roles in protecting people from the risk of abuse. Staff understood the importance of supporting people to maintain their independence and making choices about their care. Staff treated people with kindness and respect. People received care and support that promoted positive outcomes and encouraged independence.
