Date of assessment: 15 July to 28 July 2025. Sorted Healthcare Hampshire is a homecare agency providing care and support to people living in their own houses and flats. The service provides support to older and younger people living with multiple health support needs and physical disabilities, some of whom also live with dementia. At the time of this assessment there were 28 people receiving personal care support from this service. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is to help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. This was the first assessment of this service since its registration. People received safe care and support from staff who knew them and their individual needs well. Staff were able to recognise and respond to any safeguarding concerns or changes in people’s needs to protect people’s safety and wellbeing. Lessons were learnt from people’s feedback and any events in the service, as well as from management audits and checks. The registered manager ensured staff were competent for their roles and visited people as planned. Staff were recruited safely and supported with appropriate training, supervision and checks of their practice. People were protected from spread of infections and staff knew how to support them safely in their own home environment. People received personalised care which supported good outcomes and maintaining their independence for as long as possible. When needed, staff helped people with their medicines, housekeeping tasks or to access other health and social services. Staff worked well with people’s families and other professionals and felt supported by the registered manager. Staff treated people with kindness and respect, involved them in their care and asked for their consent. The registered manager was praised by people, their relatives and staff for their caring, kind approach and competence. They supported open communication in the service, staff speaking up when needed and effective teamwork where every staff member had opportunities to develop and improve. However, some service improvement actions had not yet been fully completed or embedded at the time of this assessment. For example, further work was required around maintaining accurate, detailed and up-to-date individual care and risk management plans, medicines administration and governance records. The provider was in the process of reviewing their recording systems and provided evidence of actions taken immediately after the assessment to improve their recording, governance and long-term plans to sustain and embed these improvements.
