Date of assessment: 18 February 2026 Alina Homecare – Epsom Ewell is a domiciliary care provider supporting people with personal care in their own homes. This included people living with dementia and people with physical or health conditions. At the time of this inspection, the service was providing the regulated activity of personal care to 7 people, which included 2 people receiving live-in care. The service was well-managed by staff who understood what good care looked like. They had ensured there were sufficient staff to meet people’s needs meaning care calls were not rushed, late or missed. Staff were recruited through robust recruitment processes and staff were inducted into the service and received on-going training. This helped ensure people received care from suitably employed and skilled staff. Systems, processes and practices such as infection control, medicines management and safeguarding awareness were well managed, and staff were supported to retain a good knowledge of best practice. Staff held care plans for people which contained relevant and necessary information about the person. This resulted in staff getting to know people and how they liked their care and it helped ensure that staff focused on people’s well-being and health. Staff felt supported by management and said they would have no concerns about speaking up if they needed to. They told us they enjoyed working at the service and there was good teamwork. The registered manager monitored the service to help ensure a good quality of care was being provided to people. However, where care went wrong, they learnt from this and changed processes and practices to help ensure situations did not reoccur.
