We carried out this comprehensive assessment between 12 August 2025 and 1 September 2025. This was the first assessment of the service since it registered with CQC. We looked at how Right at Home Bexley Dartford assessed people's care needs, and how they trained and supervised staff to support people according to their needs and preferences. Right at Home Bexley Dartford is a domiciliary care service providing personal care to people in their own homes in the community. At the time of our assessment there were 15 people using the service who required support with their personal care. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. People were protected from avoidable harm because risk assessments were in place however, these were not always clear, comprehensive and up to date. The management team updated these during the assessment to ensure staff had updated information about providing safe care and support. Staff were recruited safely; the provider had carried out relevant checks and gained references before staff started as well as carrying out home office right to work in the UK checks which mitigated the risk. The provider had systems and processes in place to understand the diverse health and care needs of people receiving a service. Systems and processes to audit and check the service were in place. Staff felt communication was effective. Staff were supported through training. Staff had been adequately deployed at times that met people’s needs, they had sufficient travel time between people they supported. People and relatives were treated with respect and kindness. People and where appropriate their family members, were able to request access to their care plans to ensure transparency and shared understanding of the care being provided.
