Dates of assessment: 8 to 19 January 2026. GoodOaks Homecare Horsham Crawley is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people living with dementia and older people in their own homes. At the time of our assessment 11 people were receiving the regulated activity of personal care. People were supported by kind and compassionate staff who knew them well and considered their preferences, routines and wishes. Staff promoted people’s independence and responded to any changes in needs in a timely way. People were supported by staff who were recruited safely, completed training relevant to their roles and were regularly supervised. Staff wellbeing was emphasised; the provider celebrated their successes which motivated the team. People were kept safe by staff who followed infection prevention and control procedures. Staff understood safeguarding procedures and knew how to raise concerns both within the service and to external agencies. People’s medicines were administered and managed safely. Staff monitored changes in people’s needs and sought medical advice when required. Health care professional advice was documented and followed. People received consistent, person-centred care from a regular staff team who understood their needs, abilities and challenges. People’s communication needs were documented to ensure staff followed their wishes. People could access the service when needed and staff ensured people could access health and social care services when required. The registered manager and staff attended events within the community to share information about the service GoodOaks Homecare Horsham and Crawley offers and to raise funds for charities. The registered manager and management team created an open and inclusive culture for people, their relatives and staff by seeking feedback to continually improve people’s experience. The registered manager was supported by managers from the head offices and within the service. Quality assurance processes were completed, and action plans were drawn up to address any shortfalls identified by the management team. Staff and people were confident any issues they had would be addressed promptly.
