Also known as: Sparcells Office
Date of assessment 1 April to 10 April 2026. We inspected the service as it had not yet been rated by the Care Quality Commission. The service is registered to support adults of all ages, people with physical disabilities, people with learning disabilities and people living with dementia. At the time of the assessment, 2 people were being supported with a regulated activity. At the time of the assessment, the service was not used by anyone with a learning disability or an autistic person. However, we assessed the care provision under Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture, as it is registered as a specialist service for this population group. There were systems to ensure people were safeguarded from abuse. The service followed the Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture guidance, such as by providing an appropriate level of staff training and providing person-centred care. Care was being delivered by the registered manager and there were no recruited staff at the time of the assessment. There were processes to ensure prospective staff were safely recruited. Leaders had completed training relevant to their role. Leaders assessed risks relating to people’s environment. People had information in their care plans about their likes, dislikes and backgrounds. Leaders had a clear vision and values and there was a positive, open culture among the leadership team. However, people’s medicines were not being managed safely. Additionally, people did not always have clear information about their communication preferences, end of life wishes, and religious preferences in their care and support plans. The service did not always work in line with the Mental Capacity Act in relation to ensuring consent was appropriately obtained for people’s care.
