This targeted inspection of Austin Ben – Stoke was prompted by concerns about medicines management; no evidence of harm was found, though improvements were needed to 'when required' medicine instructions on MARs. Overall and key question ratings were not changed as only a partial review of the Safe domain was conducted.

Strengths
· People were supported with their medicines safely with clear medicine care plans in place
· Staff received training to safely administer medicines and had their competency checked
· MARs were generally well completed with systems in place to audit and follow up on gaps
· People were offered a choice about whether they took their medicines and their choice was respected
· An action plan was in place following audits to continue making improvements to medicines management
