Date of Assessment: 15 to 27 May 2025. The service is a supported living service providing support to people with a range of different needs including people with a learning disability and/or autistic people. At the time of our assessment the service was providing support to 3 people, each in individual supported living settings. The service is also registered as a domiciliary care agency but at the time of our assessment was not providing this type of support. We therefore did not assess this part of their registration. We rated this service under our previous methodology in February 2020 where it was inspected and rated as requires improvement overall. At this assessment we reviewed all 5 key questions and rated the provider overall good. At the last assessment the provider was found to be in breach of the legal regulation relating to good governance. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of the regulation related to good governance. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. This provider was able to demonstrate how they were meeting the underpinning principles of ‘Right support, right care, right culture’. The provider had processes to safeguard people from the risk of abuse. Staff were knowledgeable about safeguarding and knew how to act on concerns. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Staff received appropriate training, and the management team supported staff through regular supervisions and appraisals. Recruitment systems were in place, but these needed to be reviewed to fully ensure the safe recruitment of staff. People received care and support from staff who knew them well and understood their needs and considered their preferences. Risks associated with people’s care and support were identified and action taken to mitigate them. People and their relatives felt able to raise issues and were confident action would be taken, and improvements would be made.
