Respectful Care Nottingham South received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first inspection following registration in September 2016. The service demonstrated compassionate, person-centred care with strong leadership, effective staff support, and robust quality monitoring processes.
Strengths
· Staff were safely recruited using a 'Parent Test' ethos and all pre-employment checks including DBS were completed before employment.
· People consistently received care from the same care workers, with matching based on interests, empathy and cultural background.
· The registered manager conducted unannounced observations of care workers at least four times per year per worker.
· Staff received structured training including the Care Certificate, condition-specific training, and medicines administration assessments.
· The service operated a 'culture information hub' and matched care workers with people of the same religious beliefs to provide culturally sensitive care.
