Date of Assessment: between 26 February and 9 March 2026. My Homecare Yorkshire is a care at home service providing support to adults, including people who require end of life care. At the time of assessment, the service was supporting 42 people. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do; we also consider any wider social care provided. We reviewed all quality statements. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. At the time of the inspection, the service was not supporting people with a learning disability. The provider showed an appropriate understanding of how to apply the ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance. Most aspects of medicines management were safely managed. Risks to people's care were assessed and well managed. There were appropriate processes and procedures in place to safeguard people from abuse and neglect. There was a system in place to ensure accidents and incidents were reported, recorded and actioned. People's communication needs were assessed and plans put in place to ensure staff understood people’s preferred means of communication. Relevant healthcare professionals were involved and contacted, such as district nurses, GPs and social workers. Staff told us they felt supported by the management team. Supervisions and appraisals were taking place. Staff told us they enjoyed working at the service and their wellbeing was supported. People received care that was centred around their needs. Staff knew about people's needs and preferences. There were several quality assurance processes in place and most had been effective. The provider showed a strong commitment to being an inclusive service. We received positive feedback about the management team. The registered manager had established strong links with the community which meant staff had access to additional training and people had access to the care required.
