   This was a targeted infection prevention and control inspection of Pettsgrove Care Home, which was inspected but not rated. Inspectors were assured across all IPC domains, finding effective visitor controls, PPE use, testing, vaccination compliance and communication.

   Strengths

   • · Robust infection prevention and control measures at entry, including lateral flow testing room and PPE/handwashing requirements for visitors
   • · Up to date infection control policy and standard operating procedures regularly updated in line with government guidance
   • · Identification of people at particular risk of infection with social distancing or isolation arrangements as needed
   • · Sufficient supplies of appropriate PPE meeting national guidance, with designated donning/doffing areas and clear signage
   • · Staff and people using the service had received all doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, with regular testing of people, visitors and professionals
