   This was a targeted COVID-19 infection prevention and control inspection at Chatterton Hey on 25 January 2022, which was inspected but not rated. Inspectors were assured on all IPC measures including PPE, testing, visiting, admissions, vaccination compliance and staffing mitigations.

   Strengths

   • · Provided distraction packs, computer tablets, exercise DVDs, video games and newspapers to men isolating due to COVID-19
   • · Mini fridges supplied in rooms so isolating residents had access to drinks and snacks
   • · Visits outside the home were individually risk assessed and supported by staff using a pool car
   • · All staff completed COVID-19 risk assessments, including new staff on starting work
   • · Clothing grant provided so staff could change into separate work clothes on arrival
