Date of assessment: 9 July to 4 September 2025. The service is a care at home service providing support to people living in their own homes. At the time of our inspection, the service supported 2 people requiring personal care. People were protected and kept safe. Risks to people had been identified and guidance was in place for staff to reduce the likelihood of accidents and incidents. Records of people’s prescribed medicines were not correctly recorded by staff. We discussed this with the operations manager who ensured this was rectified immediately and no harm was done. Staff understood and managed risks to people. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications, and experience. Staff received the training and support they required to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. People and their relatives, where appropriate, were involved in assessment of their needs and in making decisions about their care. Their care plans were regularly reviewed to take account of changes in needs and preferences. Care was based on latest evidence and good practice guidance, for example, NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) guidance for services providing domiciliary care). Staff treated people with kindness and compassion. They protected people’s privacy and dignity and respected their choices. People were able to make changes to their care and support if they so wished. Staff ensured people understood their care plans to enable them to give informed consent to care. People received fair and equal treatment and were enabled to provide feedback about their care. The service worked to reduce health and care inequalities through staff training, information and feedback. The provider sought regular feedback from people to ensure the care provided met their needs. The provider supported staff wellbeing. Managers were knowledgeable and supportive. Staff felt they were treated equally and could ask for support and advice at any time. Regular quality monitoring was carried out and there was a culture of continuous improvement.
