ICare (GB) Limited-Knowsley received a focused inspection in February 2023, remaining in breach of Regulation 12 (medicines management) and Regulation 17 (governance) due to unsafe medicine administration recording and audit failures, despite improvements in staffing, infection control, risk management, and safeguarding since the previous inadequate-rated inspection. The overall rating remained Requires Improvement, with the provider and manager taking immediate action during the inspection and implementing a new electronic medicines administration system.

Strengths
· Risks to people's health, safety and well-being had been assessed and detailed plans were in place for staff to follow in order to keep people safe.

· Sufficient staffing levels ensured people received care within agreed times, with staff arriving on time.
· Safe recruitment processes including DBS checks were in place.
· Infection prevention and control improvements met regulatory requirements.
