Date of assessment: 17 March to 7 April 2025. Solace Care Solutions Limited is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care support to people living in their own homes. At the time of the assessment the service supported 2 people with personal care. The assessment was to follow up on previous breaches of legal regulations. At our last inspection there was a breach of regulation regarding safe care treatment relating to risk assessments. We found the service had made improvements in this area. We found two breaches of the legal regulations in relation to medicines management and governance. People’s medicines administration information was not consistently and accurately recorded, and systems were not effective to ensure people received their medicines as prescribed. During this assessment we found the provider still did not have good governance. Governance systems were not always effective, in driving improvements to service delivery. The quality of the service was not effectively assessed and monitored. Safeguarding concerns were not always escalated and shared with the relevant agencies. When things went wrong lessons were not always learnt. The provider was not able to access records easily. The provider who was also the registered manager and the staff member were aware of people’s individual needs and support. In instances where CQC have decided to take civil or criminal enforcement action against a provider, we will publish this information on our website after any representations and/ or appeals have been concluded.
