   This was a targeted, announced inspection on 20 January 2022 focused on infection prevention and control measures and COVID-19 staffing pressures at The Bakery, a care home for up to five people. CQC was assured on all IPC measures and the service was inspected but not rated.

   Strengths

   • · Following best practice guidance to prevent visitors introducing or spreading COVID-19, with clear information and instructions displayed and explained on entry.
   • · Staff observed wearing required PPE correctly whilst supporting people.
   • · Regular COVID-19 testing programme in place for staff and people living in the service.
   • · Service was clean with daily and additional cleaning of regular touchpoint surfaces.
   • · Regular infection control audits took place with actions followed up when required.
