The service demonstrated significant improvement since its previous Requires Improvement rating, having resolved all prior regulatory breaches and embedding strong person-centred, culturally responsive care practices.
Strengths
· Staff had strong safeguarding knowledge and training including Enhanced DBS checks appropriate for a service supporting children.
· Care plans were personalised, including equality, diversity, cultural, religious and language needs, and were regularly reviewed with family involvement.
· Relatives gave consistently positive feedback about staff skills, compassion, reliability and timekeeping.
· The registered manager fostered an open, inclusive culture with regular staff meetings, spot checks, carer awards and accessible communication.
· The service used augmentative communication tools such as Picture Exchange Communication System to support people with limited verbal communication.
