Date of assessment 25 September 2025. This assessment was announced. The service is a homecare service which currently provides a supported living service. This includes services to adults with learning disabilities. At the time of our visit the service supported 13 people. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it. We completed this assessment due to the length of time since we had last visited the service. The provider had comprehensive care records for people they supported. These care records were person centred and contained details of people’s needs and preferences. This included details of how to support people with their health care needs and at times of distress. People told us they were supported well. Staff were caring and kind and supported people in their preferred way. Risks were managed well and risk records contained clear guidance for staff to follow. Staff knew where to locate this information and were confident people were safe. Staff were provided with training to enable them to complete their role. Staff told us they felt supported by managers. Comments included “[Manager] is supportive, I can raise concerns” and “I have supervisions”. However, some staff felt that the induction they received could be improved. Comments included “induction could be better” and “not the best induction”. The Registered Manager told us they were looking at the content of the induction process and planned on making improvements to this. Medicines were managed safely and in line with national guidance. Staff understood how to support people with their medicines and had the knowledge to do so safely. However, personal information was not always shared securely. This constituted a breach in regulation regarding governance relating to the storing and sharing of people’s information. We have asked the service to provide an action plan in relation to this
