Adult Social Care, Community Re-ablement & Outreach received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first CQC inspection in December 2020. The service demonstrated strong person-centred reablement practice, robust safeguarding and medicines management, effective multi-agency collaboration, and well-embedded governance and quality monitoring processes.
Strengths
· People felt safe and staff were described as kind, caring and professional by all people and relatives spoken with.
· Robust safeguarding systems in place; staff trained and clear on reporting responsibilities including escalation to CQC and local authority.
· Risk assessments were comprehensive, covering mobility, equipment, health, medicines, personal care and home environment.
· Safe and robust recruitment procedures were followed to ensure only suitable staff were employed.
· Medicines management was thorough, with MAR audits, competency assessments and clear procedures following any errors.
