Viable Care Services, a small domiciliary care agency supporting 5 people, received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first inspection in September–November 2022. The service demonstrated safe, person-centred care delivered by a consistent, well-trained staff team under an engaged and effective registered manager.
Strengths
· People were supported by a regular team of staff who knew them well, promoting continuity of care.
· Staff received safeguarding training and understood their responsibilities to protect people from abuse.
· Risk assessments identified and reduced risks; medicines administered safely with regular MAR audits.
· Staff were up to date with training, received induction, supervision and appraisal from the registered manager.
· Care plans were person-centred, regularly reviewed and developed with involvement of people and relatives.
