Date of assessment 3 March to 5 March 2026. Ozia Healthcare Limited is a homecare service providing care and support to people in their own homes. They provide a service to adults of all ages and people who are living with dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities or sensory impairments. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates the personal care and support that people may receive. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is defined as help with care related to personal hygiene and eating. At the time of our assessment 3 people were supported by Ozia Healthcare Limited with a regulated activity. We announced the visit 24 hours before we visited to ensure there would be someone available at the office to support the assessment. An assessment has been undertaken of a specialist service that is registered for use by autistic people or people with a learning disability. At the time of the assessment, the service was not used by anyone with a learning disability or an autistic person. However, we assessed the care provision under Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture, as it is registered as a specialist service for this population group. The provider was able to explain how they would ensure people with a learning disability and autistic people had respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. The provider had ensured staff had completed learning disability or autism training. The provider had a learning culture and people could raise concerns. Staff investigated incidents and were able to explain when safeguarding incidents needed to be shared with other professionals. People told us they felt safe. People and those important to them were involved in their care planning and reviews. Staff understood and managed risks. The registered manager made sure staff received regular one to one supervision to maintain good quality care and identify development or training needs. People told us they were treated with respect and all staff were caring. Staff did not always manage medicines safely for example, staff did not record topical medicines on a medication administration chart.
