Platform (Hull) received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first inspection in November 2022, demonstrating safe, person-centred care for an individual with a learning disability in their own home. Two recommendations were made regarding the completion of Mental Capacity Act assessments and the establishment of an end-of-life care policy.

Strengths

· Staff focused on people's strengths and promoted what they could do, supporting a fulfilling and meaningful everyday life.
· Risk assessments and care plans were detailed and provided guidance for staff to respond to and manage risk effectively.
· Medicines were managed safely; staff received training to administer medicines and had their competency checked.
· Staff received support in the form of continual supervision, appraisal and recognition of good practice.
· People had health passports used by health and social care professionals to support them appropriately.
