A Chance for Life Ltd was rated Good overall following a focused inspection of Safe and Well-led key questions on 28 March–5 April 2023, with ratings for Effective, Caring and Responsive carried forward from the previous 2018 inspection. The sole area of concern was medication record-keeping not following best practice guidance, which was not identified by internal audits but was rectified immediately upon inspection.

· People felt very safe and expressed high confidence in staff, with family members reporting 100% satisfaction with safety.
· Staff were recruited safely with DBS checks and two references completed for all new staff.
· Person-centred care plans were in place with people having input into their own care.
· Strong continuity of care with consistent carers assigned to individuals.
· Effective infection prevention and control systems including COVID-19 guidance and PPE supply.
